Here is the final design / version of our Pediment Books website. We are a publishing company that works primarily with newspapers to publish local pictorial history, event, or fine-art coffee-table books. There are still some tweaks / fixes here and there to be done, but it is pretty complete, overall. Our main focus is the single-product page, as the majority of our customers come via a domain that redirects to a specific product that the newspapers advertise to their subscribers. Quickly relating the product image, price, partner newspaper (manufacturer), and ability to add to cart / checkout were our highest priority. We don't have real product photography as the majority of our sales are done before production of the actual product, so we use a stylized cover image, and then include a "Look Inside" section where you can see sample images that may be in the book, as well as in some cases a live-preview of a few pages of the book.
One of the unique features I implemented was a related cart on each product that contains the product's related items, and allows you to dynamically see what savings, if any, you will have with any combo of related products, as well as add all selected related items to the cart.
Please note: it is tested to work functionally and presentationally in IE7/8 but does not look the same, due to a heavy use of CSS3. It has absolutely no testing or support for IE6.
