Manca - which file generates the feed in the module?

Need to call it in a cron job for automatic updates.

Hi Jez,
The link is on the Quick Guide tab on the module settings page. Looks something like http://www.yourstore...s_update_feeds. That's the page that generates the data feeds.

I don't see in the changelog where it was added so I would assume not.

Hi Brad,

As Garbee mentioned, the module has not yet been updated to include any support for the new option matrix features. I'm not sure if it will be. The only option I see is to submit each option matrix record (each combination of option values) as a separate product to Google, which means it has to meet the requirements - such as include a GTIN and/or MPN number. Does that sound like something you could use in your store? Let us know how you feel the option matrix could be supported in the module and we'll see what we can do about it.

Thank you

will probably be adding some product variation support in future updates if there's enough demand for it.

It recently came to my attention that this is still pending. Is it possible to get this to work with grouped products still? The variations I am dealing with are broader than what you would find in clothing (size, color, style), and it would be really great to just be able to send all of the grouped products individually as variants using the name and SKU. I am not sure if you need greater detail from Google's side.

But I am hoping that there has been some other demand, and progress on this useful module.

Hi Joe,

Currently grouped products are included in the feed as product variants if the products are grouped by color, material, pattern or size. If they vary by something other than those 4 attributes, a grouped product should not be included as a variant of a product since Google defines variants as a group of identical products that only differ by the attributes ‘color’, ‘material’, ‘pattern’, or ‘size’.

We can look into adding the option to submit grouped products as individual data feed items though. Is that what you're looking for? It should be possible without too many changes, but keep in mind that will mean each grouped product will have to have all the data Google requires (image, gtin, mpn, brand etc).
Let me know if that's what you meant.

Thank you

Yes I think that is what i need.

Each product has it's own url, image and information. It just has attributes which are better chosen through drop downs and options on the product page. Instead of having to hunt for it in the category listing.

Right now, google doesn't have visibility to those in this feed. If it can be done, allowing them would be great.

Manca, do you think the update to the module will be ready soon? It would really come in handy for me as we have many grouped products which we cannot currently advertise for.

On a separate note, are there any plans to update the module to include other feed formats?
Many advertising platforms seem to like the Yahoo Stores data feed (others... shopping.com, nextag.com, pricegrabber.com)

I missed that this module does not support OM products, which are about half of the items for the store I am currently working on. Adding support for this would be greatly appreciated.
