Hi,

I'm getting the following error when trying to install on a live server:

Quote

"Error connecting to the Limewheel Creative Inc. server"

I'm installing into a sub-directory called 'store' - I've done this on a local MAMP install with no problem, but am getting stuck at the license validation while trying this live install.

Has anyone else had this problem, and is there anything that I could/should do to get around it? Or if it is a Limewheel server problem is it just a case of sitting tight and waiting until it is resolved?

Thanks!

Hi!

The installer connects to our update server through the TCP/IP protocol, on port 80 (standard HTTP port). You need to make sure that this connection is not blocked by a firewall or proxy software installed on the server. You may need to contact you support team in order they to open the corresponding port.

If you can log into your server through the SSH protocol, you can test the connection with the following command:

curl http://lemonstandapp.com/lemonstand_update_gateway

It should return the following line of text: "a:2:{s:5:"error";s:16:"Invalid request.";s:4:"data";N;}"

If it reports that CURL cannot connect to the server, than the TCP port 80 is blocked on your server, and you need to ask your system administrators to open it.

Thank you. Please let me know in case of other issues.

Aleksey

Thanks Alekesy. The port was blocked - system admin has sorted it, so we're good to go now!
