In admin pages, when using the list behaviour cells receive a "link" class is a url is provided.

That seems kinda wrong. I would think testing against the value of a $cellOnClickHandler would be more appropriate.

I have a case scenario where I want to disable the default onclick on the cell, but I do still need to pass on the url to the inner cells renderers.
In that situation, the cell still gets the link class, even though clicking the cell itself doesn't do anything..
