There's no ability to format the excerpt section of blog posts which is infuriating. Can I suggest that the "Description" textarea is removed completely and that a "read more" button is added to the wysiwig of the Content text area (like Wordpress does)?

Not being able to add images to the excerpt just isn't acceptable.

This needs implementing rather urgently really :s

Thanks for the suggestion. We'll consider it. The blog module was intended to be basic, and not something we actively develop. It's pretty easy to convert a textarea to a TinyMCE box. The Smilies module does it for blog posts and shop products. A 'read more' button would be cool though.
