Hi Lemonstand.

Very impressed with your software and ease of use.

We use a web company that has built our website with Lemonstand and as the end customer that uses it every day the one thing we would love to have is a blank COUNTY box, rather than having a massive list of UK countys .

The reason for this is that some orders that come to us (placed by our customers ) they have made an error in the COUNTY box and when the order comes through we cant alter it.

So having an blank County box where they are forced to type their county could be better all round.

regards

Tim.

Is a county box necessary when using postal codes? The postal code alone should place your shipment to within a few metres of the destination by itself, and a county code should really be irrelevant. It's the same with province codes in Canada where the postal code usually places the shipment within a stone's throw. An error in the county shouldn't affect the shipment since it's the postal code that's really directing the traffic.

I agree with you both; it would be nice to be able to use the drop down county list (as is default) OR a blank box to type in... maybe we could select which is right for the store via an admin / settings option?

You can remove the current county box altogether and create your own custom county field - http://lemonstandapp...xisting_models/

I had to implement a similar solution when we needed a second address line.
