Updating inventory

I am getting ready to start on a site where we will be provided with a csv file daily which will have updated inventories based on SKUs. What I am planning on doing with this is just writing a script that runs at a certain time, matches each SKU with the SKU in the Lemonstand products table and then updates the "in_stock" column for each SKU. Is this a good way to accomplish this? If not, could someone provide me with an alternative?

Yes, it is a good and efficient way to update inventory in LemonStand.
