I personally have not released any of my modules yet because some of them have dependencies upon other modules. I really need a way to make it so that when someone purchases Module A or Theme A it will generate a license and distribute Module B, C, D.
We would also need such new rules to prevent abuse and spam. It should not be allowed to create a fake module just to promote and distribute a package of other modules. This would be strictly for Modules or Themes that depend on other Modules in order to run.
For example we could then create a Search module and sell the individual search methods separately as modules.
I put together this post so we can gauge interested for this feature and try to bump it up the priority list so developers such as myself can get some modules released and do not have to go the self hosted route just to bundle the modules together.

+1 for the dependancies.
It would be nice if some of this could be handled from the modules & updates page in the backend. That would assign a license, and bind to store in one go. Also giving us the ability to offer links to upgrades at the marketplace would be nice.
I may have mentioned something like this before though http://forum.lemonst...ce-exclusivity/

I was thinking some more about bundled modules for themes. I was going to suggest another idea for theme settings so we can ask the theme user to input the facebook or twitter handles. However now that I have thought more about this I think bundled modules are the way to go.
We can create a theme_settings module for example that would be bundled with the theme they install. We could also distribute marketplace modules within the theme install aswell so that within one install they get all theme dependencies and don't have to track down and install the modules separately on the marketplace or github. I dont believe Lemonstand should implement theme settings as every theme is going to be unique and would be best handled by a custom module.
