Unable to update Lemonstand

I am unable to update Lemonstand. I purchased a module, bind the module to my account, tried to update LS, but receive the following error:

curl_setopt() [function.curl-setopt]: CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION cannot be activated when safe_mode is enabled or an open_basedir is set

This might be a common error, but was not able to find relevant information in the LS Documentation or the forum.

It looks similar. I checked my php.ini and .htaccess files. There is no reference to open_basedir in either, so I am not sure what is causing the issue.
