Bundled products?

I probably should have looked for this before I bought a license (oops!) but is there a way to do bundled products? I'd like to be able to take multiple products already in the system and offer them as a bundle/kit, using the attributes (mainly weight) of the others and present it as one product. I've looked around the admin area a bit and can't find how to do it.

Is there a way to do this, and if not, are there plans for such a feature?

Hi!

Yes, this feature is planned. We have several large-scale tasks, including this, in our list. The first large-scale task we are going to begin working on after the release is the subscription support. After that we will decide what is next.

Can you please explain your task in detail? What type of products you want to sell? We need as much information as possible, before we start implementing the feature.

Thank you

Thanks for the reply.

We sell teaching kits, and in those kits we have textbooks, teaching figures, some CDs, etc. We also sell these individually. I'd like to create the individual products, then created a "bundled" product that includes all these products. If someone purchases this bundled product, it will use all the individual products' weights, stock levels, prices (or I could define my own price), etc.

So say I have a Teaching Kit that includes 1 textbook (.5 pounds, $5), 1 CD (.25 pounds, $10), and figures (.5 pounds, $5). I'd have all those products as individual products as well, but the bundle includes them all. When I add the Kit to the cart, UPS sees it as weighing 1.25 pounds, and calculates accordingly. The price (if I don't set it manually) would be $20. Once ordered, all three product levels would go down. Basically this is a way to avoid creating a separate product then adding all the information that the others have.

.... make sense? :) I'm able to accomplish this in Magento (that dirty, dirty piece of software) and I'd like to be able to accomplish this in LemonStand as well.

Hi!

Yes, this makes sense. Thank you for the explanation. This is not a very difficult feature to implement. I updated the task in our list with your description. Unfortunately I cannot provide you with a firm date, but this is important task because other people already asked us about it and we will implement it as soon as possible.

Hi,

Is this something that is close to being implemented? I have a new client who I believe really wants to try Lemonstand, and bundled products is something she is interested in.

I would also like to register my interest in the bundled products feature.

Dotcomlarry's description is exactly how I would like it to work. Setting the price manually for the bundle of products would be important to me including the ability to discount the products together in the bundle.

Hi, guys!

This feature is the task #60 in our roadmap. Unfortunately it will not be implemented within several months.

Thank you

Can I just say that my client who would be delighted when this feature is implemented is going to be a kind of Canadian celebrity. No pressure. :)

This missing feature is what's preventing me from implementing LemonStand for our company... Sad face.

+1 for me - potential new client went elsewhere and I am buggered if I am going to use Magento (as he wanted to do...)

My recent client wanted it. I told her that it's coming and if she wants to hang on we can do so many great things through Lemonstand. She did and now she is over the moon.

Aleksey,

Whats the update on this feature since it is now at the top of the list. Our implementation requires a partial version of this and would be really exciting to see it working. You mentioned that its a rather simple task to implement so what are we talking here?

Thanks in advance!
