Hi,

I am having the installer fail. I have downloaded the installer again to ensure I have the latest version.
After accepting the terms, it shows all requirements are met. I then follow through the installer. When I reach the point where I am asked whether to install the demo theme, I have tried both options, but always get the same result of the following page displaying only the header banner and nothing else. Any attempt to refresh the page or view an alternative page such as the admin or config tool result in internal server errors.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

What type of server are you running this on? Did you set the file/folder permissions correctly?

It is on a hosted shared linux platform with PHP 5.2.1

I left the folder permission settings as default (777) in the installer. I didn't check if the installer files/folders were set to this before I started though. I will try it again and check the permissions this time on the installer files in case that is the cause of the problem. Thanks.

Ok that doesn't work, I get a 500 error as soon as I try going to the install.php page. Any other suggestions?

Sorry, I'm new to lemonstand as well. Can you verify that .htaccess is executing? I'm just throwing out ideas because I'm not sure but hoped to help.

Have you tried 0755 file permissions? What about uncommenting RewriteBase in .htaccess?

Hi, HereticSun!

It looks like an unusual server environment. The error 500 suggests that your server requires the execution script (install.php) to be not writable for the group. And I don't know what causes the problem with the last installation step page. If you have a Skype account, please contact me. My Skype name is aleksey.bobkov

Thanks

What was the outcome for this? I am trying to install our live site and am hitting the same issue!

I already have lemonstand installed successfully on a sub directory.

I have a similar issue to this... was this problem resolved?

I go through the installer, but the links on the final page don't work.

* My database seems to successfully fill with a whole bunch of stuff but...
* My public_html folder has nothing new (unlike what I'd expect) - only the installer folder/files remain
* I get a 500 internal server error when I try to access the installer again
* There is nothing else to access!? No index.php!?

I don't think the installer finished properly.
My error log has a couple interesting entries:

* Client denied by server configuration: /home/xxiicoma/public_html/store/.htaccess
* SoftException in Application.cpp:256: File "/home/xxx/public_html/store/index.php" is writeable by group

I've attached a screenshot of all the files in my public_html folder...

Could someone help?

I've noticed that I don't have zend decoder nor ion cube on my system.
I went through the test and it said I have an older version and need to upgrade.

Am I supposed to upgrade and 'restart' my server if I'm just paying for a simply hosting account?

Did you try and simply rerun the installer (without doing clearing out anything or doing anything else)? As above, I think when I ran the installer a 2nd time it fixed everything (i.e. filled up my public_html folder).

Yeah, I think you're right... it's filled up and seems to be ok now...

Now to solve the encoded stuff...
