I'm not sure if this is already possible or not. But is there some PHP code to pull a catalog price rule "title" and "description" if one exsists (not on the product page). For example:

My client sets up a discount with the title "Classic Tees - 10% Off" and a description "Classic Tees are 10% off till Christmas!". I would like to place some code in the template that could display that.

I didn't see anything in the wiki about this. It may be a nice http://lemonstandapp...ips_and_tricks/ :)

Also, this is the 2nd time the forum software posted only the first line of text and nothing else. Kind of frustrating having to retype everything.

Hi!

I'm really sorry about the forum behavior. We know about this bug, but it is very difficult to catch it and reproduce. I know that it happens sometimes to other people, but it never happened to me for some reason. I recommend you to copy the text to the clipboard before clicking the Submit button. I always do so, just in case.

Regarding the discount descriptions idea - I like it. I added a task to the to-do list. There will be a way of extracting information about all catalog price rules applied to a product.

Thanks

I think I know what the culprit of the disappearing messages are -- it's the double quote mark. I just posted a message in the forum and it truncated the Title and Message up to the double quote mark. And I think it clipped the message above at the double quote mark.

I don't know why when I edit the message and resubmit it with a double quote mark it then works.

I'm using safari.

Well, this is some gremlin. I tried to replicate it by posting new topics with "" in them. And I couldn't replicate the bug. GRRRR!

We believe that forum bug was caused by the (malfunctioning) CAPTCHA module we were using by the way, Phil. Quite an annoying little bugger.
