We're working on making the installer more tolerant to different environments and PHP settings right now. Your input so far has been valuable and we're implementing fixes and changes at this very moment.

We'll post an updated installer within 24 hours for you all to try.

Hi!

The installer archive was updated. Now the installer can work even if PHP short tags are disabled on the server. Please download the installer from the URL which you received in the registration notification. Please empty the installation directory before the second installation attempt.

The installer now can detect PHP4 and display a corresponding error message, instead of the PHP syntax errors messages.
