No USPS flat rate shipping labels can be created for international orders: the following error always returns:

"USPS server returned error. Missing value for From Phone"

Updating status to: Unconfirmed

Hi Jason,

Have you entered your phone number in the shipping configuration? System -> Settings -> Shipping Configuration, on the Sender Tab. That's the value that the shipping module uses as the From Phone.
Please make sure it's been entered and if yes, we can investigate further.

Thank you

Ah, I didn't think to update my number, but I thought that was the sendee's number. That fixed that issue but I've got one more.

If you have a product weight that is below 1, for example, 0.0625, it must round this off to zero (need a float?). I get the following error:

"USPS server returned error. Total Net Weight cannot exceed Total Gross Weight of package."

Hi Jason,

That error is triggered when the total weight of the package is lower than the combined weight of the items in the package. Eg. package weight is sent as 1 pound while one of the items in it weighs 2 pounds. The error happens if you enter a package weight lower then the calculated package weight. Eg.:

If you leave the field empty, it should work. It's possible there's a rounding issue somewhere and LS is not calculating the total weight accurately enough, though I haven't been able to replicate that. I'll give it another try if you give me the package details (exact product weight and number of products).

To round down all the way to zero, you would need a very light item (I tested sending a single product weighing 0.0005 pounds and that worked fine). Adding another zero to weight generates this error:

"USPS server returned error. Gross Ounces and Gross Pounds values cannot both be zero."

The total weight of the package should be calculated by the combined weight of all the products in the package.

The weight you showed is derived from the weight of the product in the package. If you change the weight of the product, this doesn't work. If you change the weight inside that template, you are overriding the total weight that was calculated:

"Use this field to override the package weight. The calculated package weight for this order is 0.0625 pound(s)."

It still fails for me unless I change this to a non decimal number.

Hi Manca -

This is not working right. It's producing the wrong shipping label and I'm extremely frustrated.

It's supposed to look like the attached, and it's using a non flat rate label. Proof says 37 dollars owed and it's supposed to be 16.95.

Could this get attention. I've been complaining about the shipping label solution for more than a year now.

Thanks Manca.

Sincerely,
Jason

Hi Jason,

You're not giving me much to go on. What does the "wrong" shipping label look like? How are you generating it?
Here's a priority mail int. small flat rate box as it's generated in my store: http://o7.no/JJqHON
This is after selecting the 'Small flat rate box' as the container when generating the label. If you don't select that, then you will get different labels.
Everything looks as I would expect it to look. If your experience is different, then we'll need to figure out why. It would be easiest if you submitted a technical support ticket with a backend account so we can take a look at your store. If you do that, please create a test order we can test the labels on.

Thank you

Here is the order when I go to edit the order:

http://cl.ly/2f2K1W1j2e1k2A2S0n3b

There is only one shipping option, that's priority small flat rate box.

Here is when I go to generate the label:

http://cl.ly/1x1l2A2g0q1L2U1x310x

And here is the label:

http://cl.ly/1f243h3V2T2S2t2z0B2r

It's giving me the priority mail label, not the one you showed me, which is what I need. What am I doing wrong?

I'm sorry, I'm very frustrated.

Hi Jason,

You're not specifying the package type. If you want the small flat rate box shipping label, you need to select the small flat rate box as the container type.

A 'rectangular' container means you're using a custom box instead of the one of USPS's flat rate boxes.

Thank you

I did not think to look under container type.

At any rate, this is extremely backwards. The default that should print is the one that the customer selects at checkout. Anything else would cost a different amount than what they payed for and then mess up your total balance for revenue.

The only option that should be selectable, is the one's that the store is setup to do as well, not all of them. That's how everything else works, why is this different?

At checkout, the customer is only allowed to select the shipping country that you have to select from three locations. One, enabled countries. Two, shippable countries, three, countries you are allowed to accept paypal money for.
It's setup to ensure no mistakes are made where this seems slapped together and inconsistent with the rest of the lemonstand model.
