  1. Large Sets of Products / SKUs

    I have a store with 125k products with one category. I've installed the default lemonstand theme and when I hit the category page, it takes a 44 seconds to load.

    I went ahead and installed Devel to view the SQL calls.

    If you look at the screenshot you can see the one SQL call that took 43 seconds to render.

    We're running on rackspace cloud at 256mb, with nginx and mysql. The production will be a 2gig memory server, but this is just a dev box.

    My question is, do you know why this SQL call is lagging? The backend is speedy, so I know lemonstand can handle the large set of SKUs, if paginated correctly.
